Steven Portillo

Professor Steven Portillo is a 1st Degree Black Belt under Professor Chris Easter and has been training in Martial Arts since he was 6 years old. He began training in 2010 while serving in the US Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base under Professor Donny Blue. Professor Steven relocated to Houston, TX in 2016 where he would later receive his Black Belt from Professor Travis Tooke in 2021. During his time in Houston, Professor Steven had the privilege of training and learning from some of the best in the country as well as becoming a seasoned competitor. It was also during this time that he was able to develop his skills not only as a competitor, but also an instructor and coach. He is forever a student of the game and is constantly studying, training and teaching what he applies everyday on the mats. Professor Steven referees in his free time for numerous tournaments and has even had the pleasure of Reffing the first 4 UFC BJJ Fight Pass Invitationals.
